Presentation of audiovisual installation entitled “Immersive Ambisonic Audio” during the Ars Electronica Festival 2019

At art&science festival Ars Electronica 2019 we showed technological demonstration of combining ambisonic sound with 360° video. Demonstration space was prepared as part of european research and development project Immersify. This installation was built of 24 speakers and a synchronized VR set. It presented specially prepared audiovisual materials based on the production of higher-order ambisonics sound and 360° video. Prepared setup enable reproduction of immersive content, giving participants impression of being in center of the event. During the demonstration, three examples of productions presenting performances of works from various musical fields were presented: rock, jazz, modern music.
