Recordings of the Krambabula band made in “Okrąglak” building in Poznań

The idea behind the production was to organize ambisonic recordings in a place with specific acoustics – in the iconic modernist building “Okrąglak” (round shape) located in Poznań. Due to it’s architecture, rooms are characterized by a very high reverberation time. Performance of the folk-rock band Krambabula was recorded using tracks from an ambisonic microphone and classic instrumental microphones attached to individual instruments. In post-production, all sound sources were mixed in 3rd, 5th and 7th order ambisonics and combined with an experimental 360° video made by using a special rig constructed at PSNC and allowing the omnidirectional placement of eight 4K cameras.
