Fallout Shelter

Ambisonic sound design for a laser scan of a nuclear shelter

360° video production is based on the visualization of data from laser scans of the fallout shelter located in Poznań. During virtual walk through all the rooms, it was possible to see historical equipment of the building from the 1960s.

Sound design for the animation was prepared in the ambisonics of the third, fifth and seventh order and synchronised with the 360° video, which is intended for projection in VR and panoramic immersive installation. Every person using the Xbox controller can rotate in the rendered space while maintaining the directionality of the higher order ambisonic sound. The production was presented, among others, during the Ars Electronica 2020 festival and was the final demo of the Immersify project.
